How do you gather data and then mine it to show who's the smartest company? Baseline did it and came up with a Knowledge Value per Employee and ranked the top 100 companies.
So who's the smartest? I'll save you following the link and downloading the PDF.
It's Centerpoint Property Trust!
Tada! Any surprises there? How about #2 with Realty Income? Anyone working here and helping to generate $12,450,475 a year of knowledge value?
I didn't think so. Actually eBay leads the high tech revolution, helping those small entrepaneurs sell their hideous sailing ship lamps or ugly green shades or whatever most people are buying these days. However eBay has taken a fairly complex transaction and made it very simple. In my areas there are now stores where you can drop off merchandise and for a percentage they'll ebay it and ship it off. How cool is that?
I don't know how valid the conclusions are, but I bet this was a fun database to work with and try to analyze. Or maybe it was a slow day at Baseline 🙂

I don't know how it came up with the smartest company. "Knowledge Value per Employee" - what is that meant?
#36 - student loan (which student loan company? All student loan company ! I was curious because I worked in a student loan company before and it definitely was not the smartest company, it does have a chance to be the dummiest company. The result why student loan earned so much money because the cost of high eduction is high rocket, who has money to pay tuition besides borrowing money. It has nothing to do with management and knowledge value of the employee.)
my 2 cents.
