Good day all,
I was just wondering if the "Show Server Trace" feature from SQL2000 Query Analyzer is available in SQL2005?
This feature is quite heavily used by myself and my developers.
Is a very helpful tool to diagnose performance bottlenecks in complex sections of code.
Thanks,
Graham

can't say I've ever used this feature, and having run a few samples not sure of what value it is.
I'm not aware of this being available in 2005.

Nice and simple version of profiler. Without having to open up a separate application and so on. Profile session dedicated to your current session/SPID.
Just saves the hassle of having to open up profiler and setup the exclusions.

hmm - my simple tests showed no relation between results and actual profiler trace.

A very simplified version.
Text, EventClass, Duration, CPU, Reads, Writes - information shown. Nice and simple.
