Hi,
I am a novice on SQL Server. For the company I am doing a job for I need to help them decide between the enterprise version and the standard version. Can anyone help me (the comparison from MS isn't helping me very much)?
Can anyone give me the three main reasons to buy the enterprise version?
Can anyone give the three man resons not to buy the enterprise version?

Reasons to buy:
1) You want to take advantage of the additional functionality available to mirroring.
2) You want to make use of more than 4 processors.
3) You want to implement an active-active cluster.
4) You want to make use of the Advanced Integration Services transforms.
Reasons not to buy:
1) It's a lot more expensive than standard (especially the CPU license).
2) You don't need any of the advanced features (or won't need in the future).
Those are the only two reasons you really need to not buy enterprise.
