Problem installation of Work Station Components

    Hello,

    I'm having problems with installation of Work Station Components. I was able to install server components but no client tools (Management Studio)

    I'm getting this error;

    Microsoft.SqlServer.MonitorFramework.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory.

    Product : Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Tools

    Install : Failed

    Error String : Error writing to file: Microsoft.SqlServer.monitorframework.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory.

    Error Number : 1304

    This feels familiar, like it's been posted and answered before. Have you searched the forums for like issues? You may get some hints, or even answers, there (here).

    What permissions does the account have on the machine that you're running the installer under? If it's a power user or something with more restrictive settings, you may not have permissions to install the dll to that path. Have you tried trying to install this using an account with local admin privileges?

    Yes I have. The account has admin privileges...

    At the moment I have installed the Management Studio Express, this is running.
