Mutiple Instances

    Is there any article on mutiple instance of SQL 2005 listing common services across multiple instance, Advantages or Disadvantages of having multiple instance.

    Any information will be sufficient for me to start

    The biggest disadvantage of multiple instances is the division of memory as a resource.

    I guess the biggest advantage is consolidation - msdtc and mssearch are common services that I know of.
