Hello,
I'm displaying my report on a sharepoint site using the RS report viewer webpart. Since RS and SharePoint are on 2 seperate servers, how do I grab the URL from the SharePoint site and then pass it to my report (via the webpart) as a report parameter?
Please let me know if my question is not clear.
thanks,
Jenise

I have not implemented SP and RS yet, but I had this linked saved for later:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sql/2000/maintain/webrssp2.mspx
Don't know if it will help or not.
Seems like you would use the url:
http://reportservername/reports
Good luck.

If the Report Explorer configuration on your sharepoint server the URL should be this
<A href="http:///reports">http://<servername>/reports where <servername> is the name of the server with RS installed.
The Start path should be the english version of the folder to go to, including spaces.
So if you have a folder called Financial Reports then the start path would be Financial Reports.
Hope this helps.

I have same issue.
In my company we have SSRS and SharePoint on the same box. So reporting services have different port, because sharepoint uses default.
My server name DMA-NY-SHARE and server url http://sharepoint.
I tried both: http://DMA-NY-SHARE/reports AND http://sharepoint/reports. And both time I got error message page can not be found.
PLease advise.

Please forgive if this has already been covered, but directing to port 8500 seemed to fix a similar situation in my organisation:
http://servername[/i%5D:8500/reports produced the Report Server as expected, rather than trying to access a page within the SharePoint domain.
Good luck
