  I was trying to configure an Operator through Enterprise Manager

  I have entered the operator name and then email address, then click on test.

  it is giving the following error: 'A problem occured while attempting to resolve the address 'myemail@abc.com'. The mapi error code is -2147221233

  I have added the mail profile successfully for SQL Server Agent.

   

  Any help .. please..

  Things to

   

  Are you able to execute XPsendmail?

  Is the MapI Profile for SQL set as default on the server?

  If you have outlook installed can you open that first?

  Is the serevice account running as Local System? If so set it to a domain account.
