MSDASQL Provider doesn''t show up in SQL Server 2005

  I am trying to find a way to add the MSDASQL Provider to the list. Since it doesn't show up in the list I can't add a linked server using the Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers. Can't find Installation instructions or a way to add it. Has anyone had this difficulty.

  By the way running SQL Server Enterprise x64 unclustered.

  Since there is no 64 bit MSDASQL provider, you have two choices:

  1) Set up a 32 bit connection for 32 bit apps. See

  2) Use SQLOLEDB or the new native SQL Server client instead.
