Analysis Services Process buffer size

    Hi,

    I have a database of 200 millions records on SQL Server 2000.

    I have tuned the relational side with proper indexes.

    I want to tune the query performance on analysis services side.

    I have set proper settings for memory threshold settings.

    BUt kept the default values for Process buffer and read ahead buffer cache size.

    Please advice do i need to change that increase for better performance.

    Yes, in most cases (ie other than small demo's) you need to change the process buffer size. 

    If you haven't already you should definitely take a look at the Performance Guide (do a search for that name on MSDN) - it has a definied approach for setting/tuning the Process Buffer size.
