Trying to install MSDE on Win 2003 server

    Hi all, 

    I am trying to install the MSDE program but during install I get this error message " A strong SA password is required for security reasons. Please use SAPWD switch to supply the same. Refer to README for more details. Setup will now exit. " 

    I have read through the README file but it only mentions NT4 or Windows 2000 OS and we are installing this on a Windows 2003 server.

    Is this a known problem, is there a solution to this ?

     

    UPDATE: I have noticed that on the Servers that won't install MSDE Internet security is at its tightest. I tried it on a server that allows me to surf the net freely where the security is not high and it installs OK. does MSDE need to contact the net in order to install ?

    Thanks Grasshopper. I have resolved that issue now but the problem now is that it gets near the end of the install, pauses, then 'rewinds' and uninstalls itself.

    I'm really thinking that not accessing the net (due to High internet security) is why It wont install.
