June CTP beta edition sql server y2k5 is now giving me message "your evaluation period has expired. Please visit http://www.microsoft.com/sql/howtobuy"
The link says, it is not available for sell yet. That I already knew.
Question is how do I work with beta version or extend the evaluation period. I thought beta version was good for a year.

I have no problem running June CTP right now. Are you sure that you do not have Beta 2? What output does SELECT @@version
give you? Mine says this:
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.1187.07 (X64)

Now it is working.
My clock was set to 2001 instead of 2005.
Now, the question is,
Is there a time limit for the evaluation of sql server 2005 June CTP version? Is it going to expire after a year or so?
Same question is for Visual Studio 2005, Widhby?

As with all beta (or pre-release software from Microsoft), it will expire at some time. After all, why on earth would you want to run the beta of a product when the release version is out there?
I'm not too sure of the expiry date/length of the June CTP, but I would imagine that it would probably stop working after then end of the year, at the latest*.
[Edit] Apparently, the Beta 2 of Visual Studio 2005 expires 1st May 2006. See here: http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=65223
Cheers,
Brendan.
* this is just a guess, but since these products are going to RTM in November, I'd have to be close!
