I have been working with SQL Server 2005 Express Edition for a couple of weeks now and I was trying to import an Excel table into a database I had created. I went to the database on the Explorer and right-clicked to get to the import menu - WHOA! no menu!! Is this a "feature" of the Express version? I can work around this by importing into my SQL Server 2000, detach and then attach into my 2005 Express but what a hassle. Does anyone know of a DOS command in SQLCMD that will accomplish the import/export?

Express edition does not support import/export. Check BOL:
ms-help://MS.SQLCC.v9/MS.SQLSVR.v9.en/instsql9/html/81f3e917-884a-4cc8-aca2-0a5fea89f355.htm under SQL Server 2005 Integration Services Features.
