Regional Settings - Report Server

  • Hi, Does anyone know where you set the regional settings for reporting services?

My SQL server is set to UK format, my client is set to UK format, my web browser is set to the correct format. When I design a report through the web browser it correctly picks up the regional settings from my machine and displays a £ symbol, but when I run the report it is showing a $ symbol, presumably it will do the same with dates as well.

Any ideas what the mechanism is behind this? I'm guessing IIS is behind it but I've had a look at the mmc for it and I can't see anything except the fact that report builder doesn't have an en folder....??

    Thanks

  • goto to the control panel on the reporting services server and to the regional and language options. apply the format that you want

Everything you can imagine is real.

  • It's not the server settings, they're correct as I've already said.

No, this is in the generation of the report model itself, I've found where it's doing it - it seems there is a bug in the beta which can only recognise English as US - I can see it in the drop down list when I generate the model - there's English (US) in there twice and no English (Actually English)....

    La de da.

Doesn't matter anyway, the report model is useless to me...

    Cheers Anyway

    Rich
