As a first time user I would like to know if I can use the Generic Query Designer to sort out data. For instance, the information i need, part of it is in a Table, but part of it is in those 'views' in the query deigner. When I choose both of them it gives me a "Cross Join" but upon running the querry, it doesn't give me the desired results. I cannot narrow it down to what I want. Also, I am really not familiar with the database I am dealing with.
If someone is familiar with reporting services, kndly reply to me n directly on my email which is shehzad381@yahoo.com. I have some other questions as well.
Thanks a lot.

you need to use an inner join, by matching up a column in your table that matches a column in your view. If you haven't used joins before, you're best doing it in the GUI query designer in Enterprise Manager: this allows your to drag one field from the table to the corresponding field in the view.

Thanks. I appreciate that. I was trying to do so but I think i am not sorting the data properly and therefore cannot generate the desired report. Anyways thanks.
I have another questions though. When I drag one field from table and corresponding field from view its gives me a Cross Join. How can I change it to inner or outer join.
Thanks.
