  Hi,

   Am creating a DSN to a SQL server using SQL authentication. I get the following error.

  SQL State 22001. SQL server error 0. Microsoft ODBC Driver String data right truncation.

  It works fine when the IP address is specified but on specifying the server name this error is encountered. I have included the IP address in the host file also.

  Any solution for this.

  Is it pinging with server name . check your dns is configured properly or not...
