  HI,

  I downloaded the express version and Im trying to update a 7 DB to 2005.  Where is the DTS? Is there a DTS in the Express version?  I have a 7 and a 2005 on my exising machine now, but need to migrate to a 2005.

  No, DTS is replaced by SSIS and is not part of SQL Server Express.

  You can't backup restore from 7 as the file format changed in 2000, and I haven't seen anything about upgrading with MSDE 7/Express.
