I have two servers each running Win 2003 Server (SP1). One box has Sql Server 2000 installed and the other has Sql Server 2005 (Developer Edition). I used to be able to use four part names in my queries to reference tables residing on another sql server when runnning Sql Server 2k only. Since installing Sql Server 2005 I can not get it to "talk" to my Sql Server 2k. I have tried adding a linked server into the 2005 instance but when accessing the linked server in a query on that box I get an "authorization failed" error referencing the ole db connection "SQLNCLI".
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Michael
