Hi,
I am currently using SQL 2005 Beta version (Yukon 9.00.852 - Beta edition) running on Windows 2000 sp4.
Is there an upgrade path from this version to SQL 2005 Enterprise Edition?
Also I have another server running SQL 2005 Beta version 9.00.1187.07 on Windows 2003. Can you upgrade this Beta version to 2005 ent. edition?
Microsoft upgrade path for SQL 2005 doesn't mention anythhing about 2005 Beta Upgrade,
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143689.aspx
Any Help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Warna.

Warna,
From what I understand, the beta has no upgrade. In fact, depending on which beta you have, you may have some difficulty uninstalling. Microsoft has provide a tool to clean up the beta from your machine before installing the final release. But rather than steer you wrong with my instructions, just go to: http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/support/uninstall/.
Also, I noticed that when I uninstalled the beta, it broke my sql2k instance in some areas (especially DTS). So be very aware...

Thanks Tim.
ReadmeSQL2005.htm with SQL 2005 installation under "Side-by-side Installations" Clearly says there can't be any pre release builds of SQL 2005 with retails versions.
Now my question is how to migrate from beta version of SQL 2005 to a clean install of SQL 2005 developer edition.
