hiya,
I have been handed an Access dbSchema that was created by someone who obviously didn't fancy attending normalisation school 🙁
I need to:
1) normalise the schema
2) import the data from the un-normalised Acees schema to the normalised sqlServer schema
I've never done this before, even in sql2k.I was wondering if yukon had any GUI tools for this.
The main trouble is that I don't even know what the technical name of this "data + schema conversion" is..If I did, I'm sure i could google something.
Any advice appreciated.

Try the Table Analyser Wizard in Access - haven't used it, but looks like it targets your sort of situation.

cheers Phil.
Access = hassle...It took me an age to find the proplus.msi so that I could install the tableAnalyser wizard 🙁
Anyway, i am now clunking away in Access in the hope of fixing these tables.I'm really surprised that yukon didn't supply this functionality.
I'm glad I'm making progress though.
much appreciated,

They probabely assume that if you can use sql server, then you should be able to make a proper design...
