  I'm trying to encrypt/decrypt data going to and coming from my sqlserver database. I've used blowfish encryption within vb but never from here.

  Can it be done and if so can anyone tell me how?

  You could use the ole automation objects. Look at the sp_oa system sprocs. You can either create a vb COM wrapper for the blowfish or perhaps use it directly.
