Why won't SQL server start after changing the local administrator account?

If it is working on a particular user account it will not work, change the same to Local System Account, by going to the services.
It should work.
Thanks

sometimes that is the case... if you set way back in the day for it to only use windows authenitcation and then switch it forward to both and then back again. I've also noted that these issues can be with the AD itself should you have had a nongraceful exit (crash burn... FFR) of a DC and the SQL server DC is still part of the same domain. Then that gets into those ugly commmand line AD tools for when dealing with a fractured Domain, part of the AD tool kit.
Hope this helps.
