View / Log all queries coming into SQL Server 2000 database

  • Hi

I would like to view all queries coming into my SQL Sever 2000 database, especially failed queries.

I've spent about 3 hours researching how to do this, scouring forums, and delving into the depths of Enterprise Manager.

Any help gratefully appreciated (and beers bought for you in the Christchurch area!).

    Kind regards

    Dave

  • Why don't you just use Profiler and log it to a Database?

    Kindest Regards,

  • Trigger - you are a genius.

Many thanks (beer is on me).

    Regards

    Dave.

  • Be careful with Profiler.  Microsoft has stated that they cannot guarantee that all transactions are captured with profiler.  Especially during periods of high activity, some transactions may be lost.  If you are using this for an auditing purpose and need 100% assurance that you are capturing every transaction, it may not be the best course of action.
