I need to reinstall SQL Server 2000 on the secondary node of a 2 server failover cluster. This server is very critical so I want to make sure that I am doing this right. I am unable to uninstall SS2K because of some corruption. I do not need to reinstall the OS, just SS2K. My understanding is that I can run setup on the primary node to remove the secondary node from the cluster. Then run setup again on the primary node to reinstall SS2K on the secondary node and to include it as part of the cluster. Is this correct? Will this reinstall all program files on the secondary node? Do I need to do anything else? Any help is appreciated.

You are in right track to uninstall and reinstall SQL Server to the second node. What you need to do after that is to reinstall SQL Server service pack and hotfixes to ensure both nodes do not have mismatched binaries.
