Can I remove replication from EM? I no longer need it.

You can remove it from the EM, if the menu doesn't appear to remove the replication, you must remove manually from the system database by deleting the record.

yes it does, thanks. It actually convinces me that this is way to dangerous for me and requires a real DBA. (where do you find those criters?)

You can find most of these criteria in the MSsubscriptions table in local distribution DB and info about articles in the sysarticles. This table is stored in the published database
