Is anyone familiar with the Cardkey Pegasys 2000 system and in particular, integrating this system with Active Directory?
Thanks,

The pegays database uses is own services accounts. What are you trying to accomplish?
You can associate windows authenication accounts if you setup up your SQL services using windows authentication

Ultimately, we would like to get to a single sign on environment. This is one piece of the puzzle. The main objective with this system would be to be able to revoke physical access at the same time as we revoke network access. I'm aware of an interface provided by the vendor that can be used to syncronize the cardkey databases with other data, but it is not a direct interface with AD. It would require a batch process to be written to extract the data from AD, format appropriate commands and then feed them to the interface which then updates the pegasys database. I'm looking for feedback from others who may have integrated this with AD.

You should be able to accomplish this using SQL mixed mode.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. The Cardkey Pegasys 2000 server is already using mixed mode authentication. That doesn't automatically integrate the system with AD.

Create your account in AD and add that account to SQL server logins. assign appropiate permissions to the database.

I guess I didn't word my question quite right. We need to be able to integrate the users documented within the Pegasys cardkey system with the users in AD, not just the application user for the cardkey system.
