I'm planning to use log shipping for my standby server. Currently I have jobs created for the regular backups (full, differential) and transaction logs. From what I've read in the documentation, you can create the log shipping throught the maintenance plan wizard. And this will create jobs for you. Does it mean that I have to disable my previous jobs in order not to mess up with the log shipping? Can I also use the backup files (full, differential and transaction logs) created by the log shipping and restore it to the another server? Or is there a tag in the backup files that it can only be used for log shipping and not for ordinary restore?

You will have to remove your trx log backup jobs, and also ensure no jobs truncate the log. Full and differential backups will not break the chain of log backups.
You can use the trx log backups for regular restores, not a problem.
SQL BAK Explorer - read SQL Server backup file details without SQL Server.
