  Hi

   

  I want to connect to SQL Server 2000 from a Linux/Solaris box, I have tried ODBC, it doesnt work. Has any body tried this or give links from where I can follow up.

  Hi,

  Oracle appear to recommend a product called "Connect for ODBC" by Data Direct Technologies.

  I have just downloaded and installed this product on our Solaris Server although I am still waiting for an internal firewall change to be made before I can connect to the SQL Server.

  ODBC drivers from Merrant helps you connect to SQL Server from Solaris etc. I am not sure about the price.
