A WindowsServer Local group has been renamed.
This group had been granted authority on the SQLServer.
Within SQLserver I can only see the old windows-groupnames. (they are stored in sysxlogins).
Are there any sp/xp with which I can refresh the group-usernames or should I messup the systemtable manualy ?

Don't do that.
Grant the new windows local group with EM or sp_addlogin.

On the other hand, I cannot prevent it !
I can tell my windows-group-administrators, but that is as good as a flyer. You spread the message, but you don't know if anyone takes it into account.

I guess you could update the table manually, but I hate to do that. I'd add the new group and drop the old one.
