Backup error: "There is no disk in the drive"

  • HI All,

I go to enterprise manager to backup a database and when i get to the screen of 'SELECT BACKUP DESTINATION' the following occurs. I do a REMOVE of the files in the existing box and click on ADD so i can go and choose the destination i need. When this happens i get the following error:

There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive A:

    ABORT RETRY IGNORE

I'm not backing up to drive A and drive A is not selected. I click on IGNORE and the backup continues as normal. Does anyone know why I would be getting this. we run sql server 2000 SP2 on an nt 4.0 box.

    Juanita

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

would you know how this setting gets changed? This started a couple of months ago and we've had sql server a while now.

    Just curious,

    Juanita
