media_set for backup question

  A backup was taken with 2 files but it should have been 1. I am now getting

  Server: Msg 3132, Level 16, State 1, Line 1

  The media set for database 'WFA' has 2 family members but only 1 are provided.  All members must be provided.

  Server: Msg 3013, Level 16, State 1, Line 1

  BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally.

  Does anyone know how to reset the media count so I can continue using 1 file?

  Solved this one.

  Deleted existing backup file which appears to contain media family information that is read when backing up over file.
