I would like to Export a database drawing to Visio.
I need to document some complex databases for a project I am working on. If I could get the drawings in Visio I then need to attach labels and descriptions of tables and columns within a table. The database is not my design and has some very perculiar links within. It is supossed to be a fully normalised database! The application deals with the links between tables but the are not obvious to someone who has not worked with the product for long. things like column cuc links to various other cuc columns but in some instances cuc links to columns acc etc etc.
I need to document this data as we are in the process of planning a complete system upgrade and need to give the new supplier detailed info of our data.
The only thing I can appear to do is copy the diagram and paste it into visio as an image which wont work as I can't edit the individual parts etc.
I have to use visio as it is the "Corprate " standard.
Does anyone have any suggestions.
Thanks in advance
Karl

sorry for visio
You can reverse-engineer it from within visio.
New DatabaseModelDiagram
database\reverse engineer
(you may have to create and odbc-dsn to get connected)
