Usually the next number is the build. Not sure about the final one, maybe some build version or other tracker.

You could download the Microsoft ComCheck utility, which will tell you the exact build and sometimes what software that version was shipped with.

One other note about the ComCheck utility, it includes a ini file ComCheck.ini which lists the build name and build number mappings. This comes in handy when you don't want to run ComCheck and you want to figure out which build name given a build number. Some of the contents of ComCheck.ini:
[CurrentBuilds]
2.7 SP1(WinXP)=2.7 SP1(WinXP)
2.7 SP1 (2.71.9030.9)=2.7 SP1 (2.71.9030.9)
2.7 RTM Refresh (2.70.9001.0)=2.7 RTM Refresh (2.70.9001.0)
2.7 RTM (2.70.7713.4)=2.7 RTM (2.70.7713.4)
2.6 SP2 Refresh (2.62.7400.1)=2.6 SP2 Refresh (2.62.7400.1)
2.6 SP2 (2.62.7926.1)=2.6 SP2 (2.62.7926.1)
2.6 SP1 (2.61.7326.6)=2.6 SP1 (2.61.7326.6)
