Tips for consolidation 16 SQL instances in ONE SQL

  We are thinking of consolidating 16 SQL server to One machine with 16 SQL instances. Have anyone done this type of consolidation before? Does it really slow down the Server when you have multiple instances running side by side together? what are the tips when I do type of work?

  Don't think there should be a problem. Just make sure that your server has enough processing power, memory and disks.

  You can also do CPU affinity settings in case you have certain high processor intensive databases.
