I am trying to install SQL 2000 onto a Windows 2003 2 node
active/active cluster. During the install on the first
(primary) node it gets to the point were 'Setup is
creating Virtual Server resources on the cluster.' and
then times out and fails the install.
In the event log I recieve the following errors...
Event ID: 1145 Cluster resource SQLServer 'virtual name'
timed out.
and
Event ID: 1069 Cluster resource SQLServer 'virtual name'
in resource group Node1 failed.
Does anybody no what might be causing this ?,
and what can be done to fix it.

I found an answer to this myself, it was a named instance issue with SQL SP2 and below being installed as a virtual service on windows 2003. There was an aritcle (815431) on Microsofts site to work around the issue.
Though now I am having problems getting SQL resources to fail over, If anybody has any ideas I would appreciate them ?
