Got the following message when trying to do a make exe from a VB program that calls a bunch of stored procedures. Got same message later when editing a DTS proc in EM.
"The procedure entry point sqlxcac could not be located in the dynamic link library sqllib18.dll"
We're running SQL Server 2k on Win 2k.
Anyone know what this is and if it is harmful?

Never heard of it. You deserve extra credit for the ipecac thing.

Can you tell us about service packs and patches that have been installed on this set-up? Have you for example enabled Automatic Updates?
Incidentally, ipecacuanha is an ingredient in cough medicine...so try some TLC on your server

The server in question has SP2 and the MS02-61 hotfix installed. We are not sure whether sp2 might have been re-installed before the hotfix was applied - the person who did the fix doesn't remember. The problem started occurring after the worm fix. Is anyone else getting this message?
