Is there a way to give a remote user access to only 1 MS SQL2000 Database? Should something be configured on the SQL 2000 server itself?

Create an account, give it a role in that database, make that adtabase the default, remove guest from all other databases.

My SQL is behind a firewall the other SQL is part of another org. I want to grant this administrator read-only access to only one of my db on my SQL2000 server. Please point me in direction of the VPN config as well. What kind of setup should he configure and do I setup some kind of client access first thru our network then on my SQL server, or will his client take care of the connection provided I've granted him access?
Thanks!
