I have a DTS package that has been working fine to dump data to DbasIV. creates a table named ITEM_LOTMASTR.dbf. it usually deletes the old, writes a new, and dumps the data to it. Suddenly it began failing. cant find file to delete, but its there. futzing with it , it turns out that it can no longer recognize long file names. IT cant see "ITEM_LOTMASTR" , and cannot write it anymore... it writes "ITEM_LOT" only
Any suggestions on why it went back to the stone age on 8 char filenames ?

Check that something hasn't changed on the file system. Can you write to a different file? Different folder?
