Performance indicates the average latch wait time and latch wait/sec are quite high. Can someone advise what these counters exactly mean and how to reconfigure the system in order to reduce the wait time.
Running ERP application on 8 processors machine with 16GB memory and SAN storage.
SQL Server 2000 EE with SP2.

What do your memory and disk counters look like. Are there any bottlenecks there? This is probably related to one of these other issues.
