The OLAP icons are missing.
I cannot create an Analysis Services Processing task or a Data Mining Prediction Task. The task icons are not there. This is a creation only problem - I can open and edit a dts package containing an analysis services task. How do those icons get there? Where are they?
This is Sql2K, developer edition, with analysis services. The machine is Win2000 sp2. This is with and and without SQL2K SP2. This is also with and without SP2 for analysis services. This happens even after cleaning up the install and deleting all of BINN. I saw Q317059, but that doesn't seem to help. I had MDAC 2.7 at one time, but I have since installed 2.6. Also I have completely uninstalled MDAC and reinstalled SQL2K. No change. There are cubes present. msmdsrv runs OK. So does SQL2K.

The fix is to reregister the tasks. Open a new package and register as custom tasks msmdtsp.dll and msmdtsm.dll.
