Hello all,
I'm trying to restore a database that was backed up using Enterprise Manager. I am getting the Microsoft SQL-DMO (ODBC SQLState: 42000) error message that says:
An internal consistency error occurred. Contact Technical Support for assistance. RESTORE DATABASE is terminating abnormally.
Can anyone give me any pointers on what may be the problem? I am using filegroups, and simple recovery model. I am trying to restore the entire database. Thank you.

Sry forgot to add on that last note, in the SQL Server Error Log, I get this:
The backup data in 'E:\Backup\dummyname' is incorrectly formatted. Backups cannot be appended, but existing backup sets may still be usable.
If a full backup is performed over an exhisting backup file, does it get messed up?
