Pardon me for being dense but I have been doing some work to identify all of our SQL Servers, licensing, users, etc. and I have come across something that is confusing to me.
When checking the editions of my SQL Servers, I have noticed the following editions:
SQL Server 7: SQL Server Desktop Edition, SQL Server MSDE
SQL Server 2K: SQL Server Desktop Engine
Are these all part of the MSDE group. I am most concerned about the licensing. Each of them appears to be used only for a local app on the machine on which they reside.
Thanks for all your help.

Yes, MSDE is Microsoft SQL Desktop Edition.
