How does SSAS cube refresh data ?

    Hi,

    I created the SSAS cube on bids and the BI database is hosted on our remote server.

    I access the pivot tables on the excel -> data->other sources-> anlaysis services and then connect to our remote server and then select the cube from there.

    So, whenever, I open the excel file, and use hte pivot table how does the data refreshes itself??

    You can set the .odc file that is created when you create the connection to auto refresh everytime that excel file is open or you can just hit the refresh button under data.
