Is it possible to throttle back the memory/resources that a user or AD group consumes when querying an SSAS cube?
We are running SQL Server 2005 64-bit Enterprise Edition with SP3 installed (9.00.4035.00 to be specific). The server has 64GB of memory. We have Read Only roles setup on the cubes that allow users in a specific AD group to access the cubes with Excel pivot tables. From what I'm seeing in Profiler the CPU reaches 100% when users are using the Pivot table. I believe the Pivot in Excel could need a re-write, but I'd like to limit their ability to consume resources first.
Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

Since we were having issues with intermittent 100% CPU utilization I opened a case with Microsoft shortly after the original post and found that you cannot limit resource consumption for a user or AD group. It looks like we may have an overall problem with a cube so working with developers now.
