DB Connection fails when package is run from MSDB (SQL 2008 R2, 64bit, TeraData)

  Hi,

  dtsx package works fine when run in VStudio stand alone, but if we try to run it as a JOB, it fails:

  "Connection manager "AlliTeradata": SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDB_NOPROVIDER_64BIT_ERROR. The requested OLE DB provider TDOLEDB.1 is not registered -- perhaps no 64-bit provider is available. Error code: 0x00000000.

  An OLE DB record is available. Source: "Microsoft OLE DB Service Components" Hresult: 0x80040154 Description: "Class not registered"."

  The message it self is clear and a selection of 'use 32 bit' in teradata must be made, I was told. In Step properties the 'Use 32-bit runtime' option is checked, so this should be taken care of.

  All other packages are fine but these TeraData packages are not. Could it be an access right problem of the user account that runs SqlAgent service...

  Any help appreciated

  Hi,

  as I suspected, it was about the access rights. The account they use as SqlAgent 'Log on' user did not have read access to TeraData folders...
