Hi,
We are getting the High Disk Queue length alarms for OS (C) drive and also for the backup drive when ever the Volume ShadowCopy service starts & runs. Please see the below message from the event viewer and at the exact timings, we are getting the High Disk Queue length alarms for OS &Backup drive. Is that normal to get High Disk Queue length when Volume ShadowCopy service runs? Please advice me..

VSS is used to create a copy/backup of the volume. Thus, when it kicks off, you will see a higher Disk Queue length.

Is that mean backing the whole volume like drive D --storing Data files)?
We only backup the .BAK files to Tape NOT all the drives.
Is the Log shipping copy job also kiks off the VSS ?
Thanks
