looking for tool that lets me look at multiple server's performance monitor counters over different time frames
have used MRTG for this in the past. considering CACTI, but hear it is not easy to implement
our environment is mix of linux (app layer) and windows servers (sql and iis).
my goal is for 1st level support to be able to identify bottlenecks and not just assume the SQL servers are the bottleneck.
any suggestions?
thanks

Try RedGate SQL ToolBelt
and (SSC gonna hate me) Idera SQL Diagnostics Manager

Idera SQL Diagnostics Manager
I wonder if Idera has fixed their cross domain issues with this tool. Every time they call me I always ask the same question and I get the same answer -- it is in the next release!!

Confio Ignite could also be of use. It is geared towards the different wait types and graphs the longest wait-types that have occurred on the server.
