Connect Windows 7 Client to SSAS

  Hi,

  since I have installed Windows 7 I have a problem to connect to my

  SSAS Server Cubes. When I connect local on the server everything is

  working fine. From my Windows 7 Client I can connect but I cannot

  browse the cubes. Theres an OLE DB Provider Error.

  The query could not be processed:

  o Errors in the OLE DB provider. Could not connect to the redirector. Ensure that the SQLBrowser service is running on the 'saturn' server.

  o Errors in the OLE DB provider. An error occurred while named instance information was being retrieved from the SQLBrowser service on the 'saturn' server.

  I found some

  informations over SPN and tried to add these SPNs on my Server.

  Looks like this:

  MSOLAPSvc.3/saturn.company.local

  MSOLAPSvc.3/saturn

  I did this on the server saturn. That does not solve the problem. the

  funny thing is, that I can connect to the server and browse the cubes

  from another Windows 7 client over VPN which is not in the Domain.

  With Windows XP it is also no problem.

  Please Help......

  Try uninstalling the Live Log-In Assistant. There is a known issue[/url] with WIn 7 and SSAS, follow the links from Akshai to see the KB article etc.
