EVENT LOG error 'Wmipevse.exe'

    The Event log reports wmi error and faulting module is svrenumapi.dll

    "Faulting application wmiprvse.exe, version 5.2.3790.4455, faulting module svrenumapi.dll, version 2005.90.3042.0, fault address 0x00054174."

    sql server 2005 (9.00.3325) is clustered active/passive configuration. What can i do to over come this error? However the error occurs only sometimes not all the time.

    A quick google search shows that wmiprvse.exe is not part of SQL Server and is unrelated to SQL server. You're probably better off asking this on a general windows administration forum (maybe the technet forums) after doing a little investigation (using your favorite search engine) to find out exactly what wmiprvse.exe is.
