Excel install needed for SSIS to use Excel as data source

  Do I need to install Microsoft Excel on my SQL Server 2005 machine in order for SSIS to use Excel files as a data source?

  (I am familiar w/ the Excel 2007 12.0 vs. older Excel Provider changes necessary in the advanced tab of my transformation)

  My SSIS package runs fine on my desktop w/ Excel 2002 (sp3) installed but when I deploy to my SQL Server 2005 I get errr msg connecting to XLS data source.

  (her are the JET DLLs:

  My SQL Server 2005 box: JET version 4.0.9505.0 (Windows Server 2003 SP2)

  My desktop JET version: 4.0.9511.0 (Windows XP SP3 and Security Bulletin MS08-028)

  You only need the Excel drivers.
