SQL scan on the network (is there a free tool for this)

  • Hi All,

I once had a free software that will scan the network and create a nice little list of all SQL instances on the network, it was a free tool and I cant remember the name again.

Can someone remind me please ?

  • I usually run OSQL -L from a command prompt

It only gives a list of servers, and no other information,

  • also SQL Recon from Special Ops Security[/url] is free and does a great job as well as doing some quickie analysis like blank passwords and a best guess at which version the servers it finds are running.
